HIGHLY recommend Bodies Are Cool as a body-positive picture book for 3-6 YOs. The illustrator literally put a spreadsheet together to make sure they depicted as many permutations of bodies as possible. It’s become a favorite of the kids I’ve gifted it to!
Cory Silverberg is excellent! He has a few other books, that gradually age up with the same gender-inclusive view of sex ed.
"Lets Talk About It" is a graphic novel by Erika Moen and Matthew Nolan that's for teens about sex/relationships. I've read Erika's comic work for years, she's just great!
And I really liked, for young kids and body positivity, "Bodies are Cool" by Tyler Feder, the illustrations are just lovely and it just shows a beautiful diversity both in text and pictures.
This is awesome! I also loved Recollections of my Non-existence and everything by Solnit! But there are others I haven’t read that are now on my list - especially excited about Blow Your House Down!
Yay! I particularly love that Blow Your House Down got a negative review in the NY Times about being “too angry” and that led to SO MANY book sales. I didn’t find it to be particularly ragey at all, at least not in an unprocessed raw way. There’s been a spat of books dealing with women/mom rage that have gotten negative reviews. People do not like women’s anger.

That's two for bodies are cool now. I'll have to check it out and keep adding to these lists. Thank you!
Thank you!
